The fact that you think Medium claps and comments are important is just further evidence of how naive you are, not any real measure of success. The people clapping (if they aren't paid traffic) are in the same boat as you. Other dimwited people, often in Jakarta or other third-world cesspools are the ones clapping on what other people living with their parents in third-world cesspools are writing. Yes, that is the absolute definition of pollution & a content mill like Medium is happy to have the garbage because even garbage can garner some clicks which generates ad revenue for them. I actually agree with the message in this post and preach the same to many of my clients, but that is lost in the horrendous writing. You're in Jakarta for God's sake.. you can literally pay an "editor" 5 USD to proof and correct your writing. If you're getting 4.1k claps writing like a simpleton imagine what writing like an adult that cares about his reputation would garner. This is the internet. The garbage that you release when you're young will still be out there in its unedited form when you actually come to the realization that I'm correct and these writings are an embarassment. In addition to running a software development company, I write for NatGeo. But go right ahead millenial do it your way... you're the generation that "knows everything," yet accomplishes practically nothing compared to previous generations, right? :D
